We are the world’s largest nature conservation partnership. Through our unique local-to-global approach, we deliver high-impact and long-term conservation for the benefit of nature and people.

We are now looking to expand our high-value fundraising and central to this is securing an ambitious and curious Prospect Research and Insights Manager, who can develop a prospect research strategy, to ensure the ongoing development, expansion and renewal of the prospect pipeline.

The Prospect Research and Insights Manager will also have the opportunity and responsibility to develop and implement internal systems to capture and identify potential major supporters and disseminate the information to the relevant individuals or teams.

About the role

As the Prospect Research and Insights Manager, you will play a significant role in supporting the income generation that is needed to deliver BirdLife International’s new 10-year strategy.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Development Officer (Deputy CDO) you will:

  • Drive substantial income growth from major donor, trusts and foundations contacts through developing and implementing a prospect research strategy for BirdLife International.
  • Ensure full compliance across the team with gift acceptance policies and processes, and to carry out due diligence research to enable effective decision making about gift acceptance.
  • Be responsible for team compliance, ensuring that data is held and used in line with GDPR and BirdLife International policies.
  • Support the Deputy CDO with team reporting, including Raiser’s Edge reporting and queries, and working with the database team on analysis.

By doing so, you will be making a major contribution to growing BirdLife International’s high-value supporter base and maximise its engagement with existing and potential supporters.
